ACP Missions in Brussels and members of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly and the ACP-EUJoint Parliamentary Assembly are requested to find below the schedule of meetings for September 2006 in Brussels.

Bureau of the JPA:

  • 15:00 to 18:30 on Tuesday 12 September 2006; and
  • 9:00 to12:30 on Wednesday 13 September 2006 at the European Parliament

Committee on Political Affairs:

  • 15:00 to 18:30 on Wednesday 13 September 2006; and
  • 9:00 to12:30 on Thursday 14 September 2006 at ACP House.

Committee on Economic Development, Finance and Trade, and the Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment:

  • 15:00 to18:30 on Wednesday 13 September 2006; and
  • 09:00 to 12:30, on Thursday 14 September 2006 at the European Parliament

 These meetings will be preceded by the following preparatory meetings of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly at ACP House:

 Monday, 11 September 2006

  • 09:00 to11:00: ACP members of the Committee on Political Affairs and Committee on Economic Development, Finance and Trade (Simultaneously);
  • 11:00 to 13:00: ACP members of the Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment and Working on Group EPAs (Simultaneously);
  • 14:00 to 16:00 : Working Group on Conflict Management; and
  • 16:00 to 19:00: Bureau of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly

Tuesday, 12 September 2006

  • 10:00 to 13:00: 5 th Session of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly.

Additional information and working documents relating to the joint meetings and to the ACP preparatory meetings will be communicated in due course.

To enable the Secretariat to send airline tickets to Parliamentarians, the ACP Missions are kindly requested to confirm, by 30 th August 2006 at the latest, whether their national parliamentary representatives will be participating in the meetings, and to communicate the relevant names and contact details (telephone, fax and e-mail). Once the deadline has passed, participants whose travel costs are usually borne by the Secretariat will be required to purchase their tickets and be subsequently reimbursed by the Secretariat.

In conformity with the relevant provisions, delegates will be reimbursed upon presentation of the stub of the original business class return ticket for the most direct route.
