The ACP regrets to announce the death of the former Ambassador of Samoa in Brussels, His Excellency, Tau’ili’ili Uili Meredith

It is with deep sadness that the ACP Secretariat has learnt of the death in Australia, of His Excellency, Tau’ili’ili Uili Meredith of Samoa , former Ambassador of Samoa to the Kingdom of Belgium. Ambassador Meredith served as Ambassador of Samoa from May 1997 until September 2005.

The ACP Secretariat would like to express its deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the Government and people of Samoa.

His Excellency, Tau’ili’ili Uili Meredith , was a man of great qualities and conviction, who during his posting in Brussels, represented the ACP Group as Chairman of the Committee of Ambassadors, and made significant contributions to the very important development issues which are at the heart of the dialogue between the ACP Group and its partner, the European Union. Ambassador Meredith was an extremely warm person, which was acknowledged by all he came in contact with. He will be surely missed. May his soul rest in Peace.
