Th e purpose of this publication is to highlight the key role women play in achieving human sustainable development. It showcases the outstanding contributions of grassroots women to equitable and sustainable development on the ground, and in their respective countries across the Sub-Saharan Africa, Caribbean and Pacifi c regions. In addition, it documents outstanding examples, challenges and opportunities for advancing women’s rights, while shedding new light on women’s agency in human sustainable development as a critical factor for stimulating learning, knowledge sharing and innovation in development programmes, projects, and interventions.
 
 
La présente publication a pour but de mettre en lumière le rôle essentiel joué par les femmes en matière de développement durable humain. Elle présente les contributions exceptionnelles des femmes de terrain au développement équitable et durable sur le terrain, et dans leurs pays respectifs dans les régions d’Afrique sub-saharienne, des Caraïbes et du Pacifi que. En outre, elle met en évidence des exemples, défi s et opportunités exceptionnels en matière de promotion des droits des femmes, tout en mettant en lumière la contribution des femmes au développement humain durable en tant que facteur essentiel de stimulation de l’apprentissage, de partage de connaissances et d’innovation dans les programmes de développement, les projets, et les interventions.
